Two separate permissions, in plain language: one to make the work, and one for us to show it.
There are two separate things here, and they are not the same.
First, permission to create the work. To film, photograph or edit an athlete, we need permission from the athlete, or from a parent or legal guardian where the athlete is under 18. Without this, we cannot do the job at all.
Second, permission for Aventura to show the work. This is permission for us to use the finished photos and video in our own portfolio, on our website and on our social media accounts, as an example of what we do.
Where the athlete is under 18, a parent or legal guardian gives both permissions on their behalf, and confirms they are the parent or legal guardian when they do.
You can say no to the second permission and still order. Declining it changes nothing about the work you get, the price or the delivery time. If you decline, we do not post the work, show it to prospective clients, or put it on the site.
You can withdraw marketing permission at any time by emailing hello@aventurasportsmedia.ca with the athlete's name and the order. We will confirm in writing.
When you withdraw it, we remove the work from our website, take down posts on accounts we control, and stop using it in anything new. Please allow up to 14 days.
Some things cannot practically be undone. Copies already downloaded, shared or reposted by other people, content that appears in third party feeds or caches, and printed material already produced are outside our control. We will do what we can, but we cannot promise to recover those.
Where a club, association, school or other organization books us, the organization is responsible for obtaining consent from the players and their parents or guardians for the content it asks us to produce, and for telling us in advance about anyone who must not be filmed or photographed.
The organization confirms this when it submits its enquiry, and again when the booking is confirmed.
Email hello@aventurasportsmedia.ca to give, change or withdraw permission, or to ask a question about any of this.
